Things you can do now
Federal funding is set to run out on September 30th unless Congress passes a bipartisan funding bill. This is an important moment because Democrats have real leverage. Republicans need Democratic votes to get past the 60-vote filibuster and avoid a government shutdown.
This leverage is crucial to stopping attacks on federal agencies and programs that Americans rely on for their health, safety, and economic security. It also presents an opportunity to rein in this administration's corruption and chaos. During the last funding fight, ten Democratic senators handed Trump a blank check to slash programs people rely on and supercharge the MAGA mass deportation machine.
Republicans weaken federal programs. So, we're taking action, and you can too.
Here are ways you can get involved and help Congress pass a bipartisan funding bill:
Call your Democratic Senator: If they’re one of the ten who caved in the last funding fight, click here; for all other Senate Democrats, click here.
Urge your GOP Representative to commit to a bipartisan funding process.
Call on your GOP Senator to commit to a bipartisan funding bill.

You can find the transcript of the call here.
Attend a Labor Day event in your area.
If you have a Democratic Attorney General, tell them we need them to fight back against ICE overreach.
